CoreTurf · Features

Built around your lawn,
your grass, and your weather.

Every feature in CoreTurf exists because it solves a real problem. Calendar-based scheduling falls apart in an Australian summer, so timing is GDD-driven. Manual notes fall behind once you're spraying every couple of weeks, so the log captures conditions automatically. The dashboard shows where your whole program stands at a glance, instead of buried in months of notes.

01
Engine · Growth Profile

Know what your lawn is
doing.

Growth conditions follow soil temperature and local weather, not calendar dates. CoreTurf tracks where your lawn sits in its annual cycle, from dormancy through green-up into active and peak growth, and updates as conditions move through the season.

The Growth Profile engine builds a record of your lawn year over time. It forecasts when green-up and dormancy will land based on your local climate, and pulls in historical weather from day one so it has context from the start.

  • Phases tracked: dormant, green-up, active growth, peak season
  • Green-up and dormancy date forecasts from local weather
  • Annual view of your full lawn year
  • Soil temperature and live weather data, updated daily
  • Historical backfill from day one

GDD · Growing Degree Days

Know when to apply.
Every time.

Growing Degree Days are the scientific measure of heat accumulation over time. PGR breakdown is driven by GDD, not days on a calendar — which means reapplying every 21 days in July is completely different to every 21 days in January.

CoreTurf pulls live weather data for your location and calculates GDD continuously from your last application date. When you hit your threshold, it tells you. No counting days off a calendar and hoping your timing's right.

  • Live weather data pulled automatically
  • Configurable GDD threshold
  • Visual progress ring showing accumulation toward threshold
  • Estimated days to reapplication based on current weather trend
  • Supports base temperature configuration for different grasses

LawnFlex · Progress Photos

See the
transformation.

LawnFlex locks in your camera angle so every shot lines up from the same spot. Put captures side by side and the change is plain to see. Photos back up to the cloud, so your library follows you across devices.

When you want to share, LawnFlex exports a before/after video clip ready for Instagram or TikTok. No extra editing.

Compliance · Spray Records

Your spray log.
Done properly.

Accurate records matter for responsible chemical use. When you're applying pesticides and fertilisers regularly, manual notes always fall behind. CoreTurf's spray log wizard captures every important field in under two minutes, from your phone, standing on the lawn.

Wind speed and direction, temperature, and humidity are all pulled automatically from live weather. You fill in what you applied, where, and the area you covered.

  • Date, time, product, rate, and area treated
  • Weather conditions auto-populated from live data
  • Applicator name and equipment recorded per application
  • Full log history, searchable by product or date
  • Complete record format covering product, rate, area, conditions, and applicator

Dashboard · Live Status

Everything at a glance.
Nothing missed.

The Application Tracker is your live lawn dashboard. Every product you manage, PGRs, fertilisers, fungicides, herbicides, shown on a single screen with its current status.

The status for each product updates as GDD accumulates — Protected while you're inside the window, Due Soon as you approach threshold, Overdue when you've passed it. Products you're not running right now sit as Paused so they don't clutter the screen. One tap shows you the full application history behind any card.

  • One card per product per lawn site
  • Status updates automatically as GDD accumulates
  • Colour-coded: green protected, amber due soon, red overdue
  • Tap any card to see full application history
  • Supports multiple lawn sites from a single account

Bio-Alerts · Lawn Health

Catch disease
before it spreads.

Dollar Spot and other turf diseases need warm days, humid nights, and stressed grass. CoreTurf pulls live humidity and temperature data for your location and flags when conditions are lining up.

Getting ahead of it beats treating a full outbreak. Lawn Health gives you a risk level before symptoms show, with guidance on when to scout and when to spray.

  • Risk calculated per site from live local weather data
  • Humidity and 5-day average temperature as primary inputs
  • Short-range outlook from the upcoming forecast
  • Scouting guidance when risk is elevated

FAQ

Common questions

What grass types does CoreTurf support?

Couch, Kikuyu, Buffalo, Zoysia, Rye and Fescue. It is built for Australian warm-season and cool-season lawns, not a Northern Hemisphere app with a season flip.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Your lawn data lives on your device, so logging and viewing work without a connection. Live weather and cloud sync update when you are back online.

Is my data backed up and synced across devices?

When you sign in, your records back up to the cloud and sync across your devices, so changing phones brings your whole program with you.

Do I need an account?

You can start straight away. An account is only needed to back up and sync your data across devices.

What is GDD and why does timing matter?

Growing Degree Days measure accumulated heat, which drives how fast products like PGRs break down. Timing off heat instead of the calendar is far more accurate. Read the full explainer.
